would you attend the funeral/memorial service?
assuming that it would be held in a kh; or even if it wasn't.. this is something that's been on my mind lately; honestly, i'm not sure why.
my parents are both still relatively young; 60 and 61. my dad has been diagnosed with skin cancer but both are otherwise healthy.. i really don't know whether i would; particularly for my father.

Well my parents have been great. They aren't dubs any longer but for me it's a no brainer. Of course I'd go. We all go to the KH whenever an old friend dies anyway. We're shunned but we go just to support people who used to be our friends.
My parents continue to forgive those that try to hurt them. They are decent people and I hope I can follow their example.
at this point in my life i don't think i could trust any religious group.
i don't even feel the need to be a part of anything like that right now, and maybe never will.. but i know of some who have joined other churches/groups since leaving the borg.. why do some join another religion and why won't some ever get involved again?.

my jw girlfriend called me this morning to tell me she watched "the guardian" last night and there was a hospital scene where the main character brought the patient a magazine.
she opened it and said "oh, you brought me a watchtower".
then they talked about how she was going to die and would see her baby soon, which my friend took for their alluding to the resurrection.. .
I was in my room but I heard the JW part as a couple of roomies were watching it in the living room. As soon as she asked them if they were dubs my friends yelled for me to come watch. It wasn't what your friend said Mulan. She got that wrong. It was just about being mistaken at the door for a dub since they were wearing suits.

The only piercings I have left are my ears. I had the eyebrow and belly button and tongue.
Guys this is something a lot of us girls do these days. We do it for ourselves. It's a little statement we make. I got mine as soon as I got into college. They aren't tattoes and they will disappear within a short period of time.
No one here would complain about the tongue piercing, if you were dating someone who had one

Ranting may help ya deal with things to a certain degree but don't forget that all these worlds troubles are how dubs lock you in to their perfect paradise. Til you join, then you find out that even paradise is BS.
There is probably always going to be poor, needy, sick and abused people on earth. All we can do is see to it that our own and ourselves are taken care of. Help who you can but then... just go on.

Tonight Showtime showed Dead Like Me at a different time than usual. They just made up for sunday nights screwup. YAAAAY I saw the season finale.
It was good too, one of the best episodes.
